HEALTH SCIENCE & MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY

What is it?
Patient care careers focus on the treatment, health, and well-being of patient with various health issues. Work is frequently performed in hospitals, clinics, medical offices, and nursing homes, and patient care workers are on the front-line of healthcare, interacting with patients most frequently. Biomedical science studies the biological and chemical systems of the human body, from anatomy and physiology to human microbiology, providing the foundation of modern healthcare.
IS IT RIGHT FOR
ME?
Are you interested in health science and human body systems?
Are you empathetic and like to help people?
Are you curious and a problem solver?
What will I do?
Nurses interact directly with patients by monitoring their vital signs like blood pressure, tempurature, and oxygen levels, as well as administering medication and consulting with doctors. Biomedical technicians work on biomedical equipment used for patient treatment and research in hospitals and medical laboratories. Biomedical researchers study the effects of chemicals and substances on the human body to create new medications.
