Why is CTE Important?
Career Technical Education (CTE) opens doors to opportunity by combining academic excellence with hands-on, real-world learning. Through a purposeful, multiyear course sequence, students gain the knowledge, skills, and confidence to thrive in college, the workforce, or military service. At IUSD, our CTE Pathways are more than just programs, they’re dynamic partnerships between TK–12 schools, colleges, industry leaders, and community organizations across Los Angeles County. Together, we’re reimagining education to empower our students with meaningful real-world experiences that connect the classroom to careers and prepare them for a future full of possibilities.
