PROGRAMS

At Inglewood Unified School District, we are proud to offer a wide range of academic and enrichment programs designed to support student success in high school, college, career, and beyond. Whether students are looking to earn college credit through Dual Enrollment, challenge themselves with Advanced Placement (AP) or Honors courses, gain leadership and discipline through our Military pathways, or receive academic support through AVID, there is a place for every learner to thrive. We also offer specialized STEM opportunities through MESA (Math, Engineering, Science Achievement) and Project Lead the Way (PLTW), both of which prepare students for high-demand careers in science, technology, engineering, and math.

Through a partnership with El Camino College, Dual Enrollment provides Inglewood USD high school juniors and seniors with early and free access to college-level courses, including textbooks and materials. Students enroll in K‑14 Career Pathways—structured sequences of dual‑credit classes—that can lead to college certificates, associate degrees, or university transfer in high‑demand fields. This program not only saves students money and accelerates their academic progress but also offers valuable early exposure to their chosen industry.

Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC) offers high school students leadership development, citizenship training, and physical fitness, preparing them for military or civilian leadership roles. Rooted in community and discipline, JROTC builds character, teamwork, and civic responsibility.

Advanced Placement (AP) courses are college-level classes offered in high schools that culminate in standardized exams. High scores can translate to college credit, giving students a chance to accelerate their postsecondary journey and demonstrate academic readiness.

Honors classes offer students a more rigorous curriculum than standard coursework, focusing on in-depth analysis, critical thinking, and advanced content. These classes are designed to challenge motivated learners and better prepare them for advanced academic pathways like AP or Dual Enrollment.

AVID is a nonprofit college-readiness system that equips students—especially those underrepresented in higher education—with academic support, study skills, and college preparation. AVID fosters critical thinking and confidence to bridge opportunity gaps.
