FILMMAKING
ARTS, MEDIA, & ENTERTAINMENT

What is it?
Filmmaking is the process of creating a film, starting from the initial concept and storyline, to screenwriting, shooting the film, sound recording, lighting, and post-production editing. Films today appear not only in theaters, but also cable TV, streaming services, and multiple internet platforms such as YouTube and social media. While it's easier than ever today to make a film with the latest electronic devices, there are still techniques and skills required to achieve high-quality production.
IS IT RIGHT FOR
ME?
Do you love to go to the movies?
Are you a visual story teller?
Do you like taking photos and videos?
What will I do?
Film directors are in charge of developing a film production, from screenwriting, casting, film locations, filming, sound, lighting, and post-production. Camera operators manage the
film equipment and are responsible for the actual filming. Film editors organize digital film footage with software to create the final film production.
