CTE & EARLY COLLEGE

Ms. Sarah Appleton is a dedicated educational leader committed to creating transformative opportunities for her TK–8 students. With a deep belief in the power of early exposure to Career Technical Education (CTE), she has worked tirelessly to integrate real-world learning experiences that spark curiosity and inspire future careers. Her passion for CTE was ignited further after attending the Arts, Media, and Entertainment (AME) Institute, where she gained powerful insights into how creative industries can shape student engagement and success.

Under her leadership, we are excited to announce that Bennett-Kew has been selected as a recipient of California’s 2025-2026 Middle School Foundation Academies (MSFA) Planning Grant. This honor positions Bennett-Kew to become an official TK-8 CTE School, establishing innovative, career-focused academies that will lay the foundation for high-quality CTE pathways in high school.
