Rocio Sanchez

Rocio Jimenez-Sanchez has a long and impressive history in education. She earned her Bachelor's degree and two Master's degrees from Cal State Dominguez Hills. A lifelong learner, she has expanded her expertise beyond the classroom by becoming a Google Certified Educator and an Adobe Certified Professional.
Her commitment to education is evident in her 26-year tenure at Bennett-Kew. Over the course of her career, she has taught every grade from first through fifth. Currently, she is teaching fifth grade and is actively exploring CTE (Career and Technical Education) Programs.
Her personal experience deeply informs her work. As a child, she immigrated to the United States from Mexico and attended schools in the Inglewood School District. She is also a proud former student of Bennett-Kew, Monroe, and Morningside.
Rocio lives by the conviction that education is the key to success, a belief she shares with her students every day. She embodies the spirit of Nelson Mandela's famous quote: "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." Through her work, she empowers her students not only with knowledge but also with the confidence to build a better future for themselves and their communities.
